Designed to keep the books for all types of business, whether sole-trader, partnership, limited company, VAT or non-VAT registered. Business Accountz Basic makes bookkeeping enjoyable and simple. You can see and edit everything you enter, and using Accountz Rapid Data Entry system, you will do it far more quickly than anything else currently available.

Business Accountz Basic is pure bookkeeping. That is, it is 100% transaction based, rather than form based which most other software is. The advantage is that you can take all your source documents (eg. invoices, receipts, bank statements etc) and enter them in one after another in any order directly into a table.

Once entered you can re-arrange them in any order you like (eg. view them by Tax Date, VAT Date, Amount, Reference etc.). You can also edit anything whenever you like directly in the table. If you are happy with an entry, you can lock it to avoid any accidental editing. Of course, you can also unlock any transactions too, so you will never be forced to make traditional correcting entries unless you want to.

However, probably the most important feature of Business Accountz is the simplicity of transactions. The most important of which are labelled From and To. These replace the traditional double-entry terms Credit and Debit and has the simple effect of making book-keeping understandable to everyone. Here is an example: paying off your credit card. The money comes From your bank and goes To your credit card, and that is exactly how you enter it into the system. A sale: the comes From a sales account and goes To your bank (or Unpaid Invoices if it is on credit). A payment: the payment comes From your bank (or cash, credit card etc.) and goes To some expense account. Nothing could be simpler.

If you are VAT registered, that is also included within the single transaction that you make. All you need to specify is the VAT code, for example, selecting the 'Standard VAT' rate will auto-calculate the VAT for you.

Everything is updated immediately, so you can see precisely what you have in the bank, what you owe suppliers, your VAT return etc, and almost all of these views are obtained with 1 or 2 clicks. Accountz software has been designed from the start to use the smallest number of mouse clicks (or keyboard presses). This has the following benefits:

Business Accountz Professional has all the features of the Basic edition plus full customer tracking. You can also use it with pre-printed stationery, but one of the beauties of Business Accountz Professional is that you don't need to buy expensive proprietary stationery, just use blank paper!
 

Full customer tracking is added to this version of the range. Each customer can have an unlimited number of contacts, and each of those can be linked to files or folders on your computer. You can also see your complete customer history right back to day 1. And that includes all your quotes and estimates too. Accountz software is all about saving time, so common tasks such as converting quotes to invoices can be done with a single click.

Tracking unpaid invoices is also straight forward, 1 click and you can see precisely what a customer owes you and how overdue they are. Individual terms can be set for different customers and you have the choice of traditional end of the month statements or strict number of days since the invoice was issued. If you have problems with credit control, adopting strict terms and the ability to see exactly who owes you what and sending statements should greatly increase your cash flow.

Other features of Professional include preset transactions. You can set as many of these as you like and call them up with 2 clicks of the mouse. It is instant invoicing with the minimum of effort. You can also use them to input regular payments and transfers too. So for example, if you buy stationery on a regular basis, set up a preset, name it 'stationery' and call it up every time you need to that kind of transaction. Enter the date and total amount and it is done. It is one of the things that makes accountz software the fastest in the world for data entry.

All data from accountz software is cross-platform compatible, so if you use a Mac and your accountant uses a PC, no problem, you can share the data. Of course, you can export all reports including a full nominal ledger activity report and trial balance and email direct to your accountant if they would prefer that. By the way, if terms like nominal ledger sound like gobbledegook, no need to worry. Pretty much everything in Business Accountz is written in terms you will understand. For example, credit and debit are replaced with From and To. Accounting made easy in other words. Where's the money coming From? the Bank. Where's it going To? Motor Expenses. If you can understand that, you can keep your books with confidence.

We are delighted to announce a new product: Home Accountz. This replaces our ever faithful Personal Accountz software.

Home Accountz has been rewritten from the ground up using the same technology we used for our flagship product Business Accountz. That is why we decided to give it a new name.

A huge benefit this application has over other software of this type is that just about every table of data you see is fully editable. It uses a fantastic technology called 'Views'. Views enable you to set up tables the way you want them. You choose which columns to show or hide, their order and size and sorting. You then complete the view by defining powerful filters and charts and graphs. To use these views, just name them and they can be accessed at will from a simple drop down menu. There are a number of preset views for you to play with including the ability to forecast, view just the last week, view uncleared transactions and many more.

But Views is only one great aspect of Home Accountz. Because it uses a tree structure for your accounts and categories, which is fully editable, you can create as complicated or as simple a set of accounts as you want (but don't worry, it comes pre-installed with a simple set of accounts ready to go). No other accounting software has ever given this kind of flexibility, and it is amazingly powerful. For example you could set up a group called Expenses (there is one there by default when you run the software by the way!), then add a further group to that called Motor, then add another group in there for, say, Ford. Inside the Ford group you can have Petrol, MOT, Insurance, Servicing etc. The balances are shown hierachically, so you can not only see at a glance your overall expenses, but also your total Motor expenses within that, and your total Ford costs, right down to how much you spent on servicing. You will know precisely how much you have spent and on what.

Home Accountz also includes one of the most powerful budgeting modules ever seen. You can set budgets for complete groups and have them automatically averaged monthly, but you can also go right down to individual levels and manually change individual months too. So for example, you may want to budget, say, 250 a month on Food, but for Holidays you may want to set a single budget for July of 1,000. You can create multiple budgets too, then compare them with your real spending, all at the click of the mouse. Home Accountz is super fast. And most things only take a mouse click or two, so you will rarely need to refer to the extensive set of video tutorials available from the Help menu.

On top of all this, you can also include Direct Debits, Direct Credits, Standing Orders and in fact any type of transaction you want to automate. Home Accountz then inserts those automatically for you (you can even back track them), but better still, it uses them to forecast your bank(s) and any other account up to a year ahead. Never go overdrawn again without your knowledge.

Finally you can import data in 3 different format: CSV, OFX and QIF. That means you can import files exported from the likes of Microsoft Money and Intuit's Quicken as well as from many banks and financial institutions. There is so much more to Home Accountz, but the best part is just playing around with it to see the possibilities. Enjoy.
