24/96 recording

The R-05 provides pristine, uncompressed stereo recording directly to SD card up to 24-bit/96kHz resolution. Whether recording directly with the built-in stereo mic or capturing sounds from an externally connected microphone or stereo line input, youll be impressed with the R-05s detail and clarity. And for worry-free recording, the convenient Rehearsal mode ensures that you wont overload the input.

Onboard editing

Even though the R-05 integrates fluidly with computers via USB 2.0, this new generation recorder doesnt require a PC for editing. For speed and convenience, you can trim, divide, and combine within the R-05. And for those whod like to apply a high-gloss finish to their recordings, the R-05 is equipped with built-in reverb.

Rehearsal mode

In a rehearsal studio, you can make clear recordings of your band, even at high volume levels. The R-05 can automatically set the optimum recording level, and can split the songs for you automatically. Its also possible simultaneously to record a high-quality WAV file for CD production and an MP3 file for file sharing.

Music-practice partner

The R-05 can help you practise your instrument or vocals. You can repeatedly loop a specified region of audio, or change the playback speed without changing the pitch. You can play back a difficult phrase slowly or play back at high speed to grasp the overall structure of a song in a short time.

For non-musicians too

Musicians will naturally gravitate to the R-05, but this portable recorder is great for many non-musical applications as well e.g. recording lectures, speeches, and meetings. There are two types of stereo microphones built into the R-26, plus a pair of XLR/TRS combo inputs for external mics, and an input for a stereo plug-in powered mic. New-Tech Advantage

The R-26 features Roland’s latest DSP engine, which allows simultaneous recording of up to six channels (three stereo channels). A large LCD touchscreen display lets you directly navigate menus for customizing the microphone settings, editing waveforms, and so on. It also features large input-level knobs for making precise adjustments.

Built-In Stereo Mics

Directional and omnidirectional stereo microphones are built into the R-26, and can be used simultaneously. This unique multi-stereo mic recording system lets you capture a wide stereo sound field without spoiling the vibrant low frequencies and ambience of the venue.

External Inputs

Two XLR/TRS combo mic inputs are built into the R-26, plus an input for a stereo plug-in powered mic, which can be combined simultaneously with the internal mics. At a live concert, for example, the R-26 can capture a stereo mix from the FOH mixer via its XLR inputs, as well as the ambient audience noise via its built-in stereo mics.

Six-Channel Simultaneous Recording

The R-26 allows up to six channels of simultaneous recording (three stereo pairs). Capture the same sound source with three different types of microphones, both internal and external. This provides a new level of flexibility after the fact, as you can choose from the individual tracks or composite mixes.

USB Connectivity

You can connect the R-26 to your computer for use as an audio interface or for external storage. Use the R-26 in combination with the bundled SONAR LE software app to perform recording and detailed editing on your PC
