Live TV the way you want it

Watch all the free-to-view TV you want on your iPhone or iPad without worrying about your data plan. Elgato’s Tivizen creates its own Wi-Fit hotspot and uses it to transmit the TV signal. It does not require an internet connection.

You do have the option, however, of connecting Tivizen to your home Wi-Fi network. There the TV signal from Tivizen automatically becomes available to all your devices – including your computers.

On your iPad, the free Tivizen app shows you what TV shows are on right now and what shows are coming up next. You get all the programme details that are broadcast within the DVB-T stream.

Conventional USB TV tuner for your Mac or PC

Want to plug into TV the conventional way? The option will come in handy when you’re on public Wi- Fi and want to surf and watch TV on your computer at the same time. Simply connect Tivizen to your Mac or PC using the included USB cable. Of course, Tivizen will automatically go back to creating its own hotspot if neither a home network nor USB connection are available.

Record TV on your iPad!

If your iPad can be a television, then why not a DVR? With Elgato’s Tivizen, you can record TV shows directly to your iPad. You also have the option of transferring those recordings to your computer.

A superb all-round DTT (Freeview) TV tuner, Elgato’s Tivizen is not just for iPads and iPhones. It can deliver a live digital television to a Mac or PC, completely free from cables and connected devices. Tivizen includes award-winning EyeTV software for Mac; and THC software for Windows.

The included lithium-ion high-capacity rechargeable battery gives you over 3.5 hours of live TV on the go. If you forget to turn your Tivizen off, the power-management feature puts it to sleep automatically to save battery power.

How it works

The Tivizen mobile TV tuner has a small, extendable and extremely robust aerial that receives the DVB-T (Freeview, or DTT) signal. Tivizen transmits that TV signal over to your iPad, iPhone, or computer by creating its own Wi-Fi hotspot. Tivizen can also join your existing home network and will appear as an available tuner to all computers & iPads on your network.

When you use the USB cable to connect Tivizen to your computer, Tivizen behaves just like a traditional USB tuner stick and is not reachable via Wi-Fi.
